Hello R.F. Graduates- Class of 2021:

We would like to update you on your Convocation 2021 Celebration.  Please remember that the school only organizes the convocation program and that there is an amazing parent group leading the Banquet of celebration part of grad. On Facebook you may join the private group: 2021 RF Staples Parent Grad Committee. Candace Higgins and Dianne Edwards are the Admins. 

What you need to know now:

1. Thank you for voting for your speakers.   The speakers you have chosen are Katie Edwards – Class history,  Mackenzie Shank- Tribute to parents, Kerri Wiegand  – Reply from parents,Skye Sekulich – Tribute to Teachers and School Board,  Mr. Fagnan- reply from teachers. 
2. Skye Sekulich is sharing a list of preferred songs for a convocation playlist and we also have a vote going on a google sheet      https://forms.gle/kUqeWFhfjArFK1719.
3. The Drive by celebration will start at 12:00pm on June 25th with the recorded convocation program to be aired later that afternoon.  Details to follow.

What you need to do now:

1. Continue to keep up on studies so that you remain on the grad list. A final review of the list will be completed the first week of June. 

1. LAST CHANCE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NOT DONE A BIOGRAPHY, BABY PICTURE OR CONVOCATION PHOTO

   2. Send a jpeg of your baby picture to Mrs Scallion veronica.scallion@pembinahills.ca
   3. Please remember that the convocation pictures taken by Mrs. Scallion’s Photography students are used for the newspaper announcement,  the Grad Composite that will eventually be on display in the school and the Yearbook.

1. Payment of your Convocation fees 
   1. Convocation Ceremony fee only $30(includes a momento gift, yard sign, virtual program, drive by celebration, cheering and celebrations from the staff of RF Staples);
   2. Cap and Gown fee, an additional $30 for a total of $60
   3. RF Staples will be collecting fees starting May 13th.  If you ordered a cap and gown through Mr. St. Denis, this fee will be attached to your account as well
   4. If you pay your fees and you are removed from the convocation list in early June, your fees will be reimbursed.
   5. We are asking for you to pay your fees online through the Powerschool Parent portal, if possible.  If you are not signed up to do this, use the following link to set yourself up.  Please call the school for your access code.
